Artists With the Most No. 1 Albums on the Billboard 200 Chart

As Madonna‘s CONFESSIONS II debuts at No. 1 on the latest Billboard 200 albums chart (dated July 18), the Queen of Pop secures her 10th chart-topper. In doing so, she becomes only the 11th act, and third woman, with at least 10 No. 1 albums. Madonna scored her first No. 1 album in 1985 with Like a Virgin.

CONFESSIONS II is the sequel to the 2005 No. 1 Confessions on a Dance Floor, and reunites Madonna with her main collaborator from that project, DJ/writer/producer Stuart Price. The new album was announced on April 15, released on July 3 and marks Madonna’s first studio album since 2019’s No. 1 Madame X.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. Madonna, 10

Madonna achieved her first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 1985 with Like a Virgin, while her 10th chart-topper came in 2026 with CONFESSIONS II. Upon the latter’s debut, she became the first act with a No. 1 album in the 2020s to have also topped the chart in three other decades.
Elvis Presley, 10

Presley scored his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 1956 with his self-titled album. His 10th leader came with the posthumous collection ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits, which spent three weeks atop the list in 2002.
Ye (formerly Kanye West), 11

Ye notched his first No. 1 with Late Registration in 2005, and collected his most recent No. 1 with 2024’s Vultures 1 (with Ty Dolla $ign).
Barbra Streisand, 11

Streisand’s first No. 1 was People in 1964, and her most recent chart-topper was 2016’s Encore: Movie Partners Singer Broadway.
Bruce Springsteen, 11

Springsteen first led the Billboard 200 in 1980 with The River, and most recently with 2014’s High Hopes.
Future, 11

Future first hit No. 1 with DS2 in 2015, and logged his 9th, 10th and 11th No. 1s all in 2024 with We Don’t Trust You, We Still Don’t Trust You (both with Metro Boomin) and Mixtape Pluto.
Eminem, 11

Eminem claimed his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with The Marshall Mathers LP, and scored his 11th No. 1 with The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) in 2024.
JAY-Z, 14

JAY-Z’s first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 was Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life in 1998, while his 14th and most recent No. 1 was 2017’s 4:44.
Taylor Swift, 15

Swift collected her first No. 1 with Fearless in 2008, and her newest No. 1 in 2025 with The Life of a Showgirl.
Drake, 15

Drake got his first No. 1 in 2010 with Thank Me Later, and his newest No. 1 with ICEMAN in 2026.

The Fab Four achieved their first three No. 1s in 1964 with Meet the Beatles!, The Beatles’ Second Album and the soundtrack to A Hard Day’s Night. The group’s most recent No. 1 was the greatest hits collection 1 in 2000.
