Why go to church when you can go see a show at Rosalía’s LUX Tour?
The Spanish artist, who is currently on the U.S. leg of the LUX Tour, has delivered a deeply conceptual, carefully curated performance. Each concert on the tour includes ballet and carefully choreographed routines, plus an art exhibit – with the dancers and the singer as the main characters – full of nods to some of history’s most iconic works, religious iconography and presentations of Catholic and Christian symbols and emblems.
One of the Catholic Church’s best-known practices is confession, in which people confess their sins to a priest who is bound by a vow of silence. Every night on Rosalía’s tour, she hosts has a confessional. Right before performing “La Perla,” one of the biggest hits from LUX, she invites a famous figure from the entertainment world to enter her confessional, set onstage for all to see, and share intimate stories about their dating life.
Rosalía released LUX, her fourth studio album, in November 2025, making history on the Billboard charts as the first artist ever to secure five No. 1 debuts simultaneously across multiple album charts, including Top Latin Albums, Top Latin Pop Albums, Classical Albums, Classical Crossover Albums and World Albums.
The artist kicked off her tour in Lyon, France, on March 16. During stops in Paris, London, Madrid and Barcelona, she welcomed famous faces such as Lola Young, Aitana and Cara Delevingne to her confessional. After rescheduling the Florida concert dates of the U.S. leg of the tour, which had been set to begin in Miami, the “Motomami” singer gave her first performance in Boston on June 11. She has completed 10 of the 13 planned stops in North America, where multiple artists have joined and made some controversial revelations.
Here’s a list of all the guests who have joined the LUX tour confessional so far.
-
Maggie Rogers
Rogers was Rosalia’s first guest during the U.S. leg of the LUX tour, joining the tour on June 16 in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Rogers took to the booth to open up about a date she went on with a journalist from the New York Times. Rogers explained that she and he ended up near the Times’ office, making out in one of the conference rooms. The artist then revealed that when she told a friend about what had happened, the response was, “Oh my god, that’s my friend’s boyfriend.”
-
Marcello Hernández
Hernández joined the artist on June 17 in Madison Square Garden. The Saturday Night Live comedian joined the confessional on the second night of the Spanish singer’s performance in the Big Apple. While on stage, the Cuban-Dominican opened up about a woman he confessed to committing a crime for after buying two bottles of wine with his fake ID to treat her to a homemade dinner.
Things didn’t go as expected. “She told me she was on her way,” he explained. “Then she told me she was running a little late. After that, she told me she was really late … And then I drank the bottle of wine over FaceTime with my mom.”
-
Karol G
The Colombian singer joined Rosalía’s confessional on June 29, as she made her first stop in Los Angeles (Inglewood) at the Kia Forum. During the chat, La Bichota revealed she had a relationship with someone who didn’t like celebrating their birthday with her.
“The most curious part was waiting for the excuse for the following year — and the next and the next — as to why they couldn’t make it to the birthday,” said the “Mañana Será Bonito” singer. “I’ve become an expert at this by now, so I can give you some tips.”
-
Chappell Roan
The “Pink Pony Club” singer joined Rosalía during her Oakland show on July 6. Roan stepped on stage and told the audience she had flown from Missouri to be part of the Spanish singer-songwriter’s “La Perla” segment, which kicks off with the confessional. Roan told Rosalía about a pandemic-era romance in which “we kissed, and it was — I was floating. I was just so like, wow.”
The singer then shared that what she thought was something more was actually something that the other person saw as casual and nonchalant, telling Roan’s friend that “They knew they should be sad and care about me, but they don’t […] And that turned into a song.”
